WebAug 25, 2024 · Forscan. You can modify the BCM to stop the Hyper flash. Here is my experiences. My 2011 F250 was an early build truck. I had proper flash but the opposite bulb would mirco flash (a very slight flash but could be seen) when the blinker was on. It would blimp. I tried installing resistors as suggested. WebFeb 24, 2024 · Any help would be nice. 2024 f150 changed tail light bulbs to LED, they flash normal outside but it hyper flashes in dash. Also noticed when I turn on 4 way flashers I have no issues inside or out. All is normal. It’s just signal lights. Any one know what’s going on? Now, say you install an LED bulb (which draws MUCH less current/resistance) the car thinks the bulb has burned out and begins to hyper-flash. All cars have this feature, and most of the later models now have a way to disable that.

Your F-150 FORScan will run a diagnostic on all modules in your vehicle and give you a diagnosis code for any issues found. That sounds straightforward. Plug it in and turn it on.
WebAug 22, 2024 · Just download and get a copy of Forscan, buy the right OBD2 module to plug in and you can physically turn off the hyper flash feature. WebOct 1, 2024 · I read a while back on an F-150 forum that someone had the dealer reprogram his BCM to stop hyperflash. He posted a PDF file of the bulletin to show the dealer what instructions to follow. He said it took the dealer like 10 minutes to do. SVE Q-158R3 was the bulletin. You will have to install load resistors or learn about Forscan and how to disable your bulb outage values to avoid hyper-flash. This changed in 2009.
