The primary school amalgamated in 1992 with the school at Brinkworth, to form Brinkworth Earl Danby's CE VC Primary School. The only pub in the parish, the Peterborough Arms at Dauntsey Lock, closed in 2013 and was bought in 2014 by the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust for use as offices and a community centre. My only comment in the negative would be that here are A LOT of Dauntsey's teacher's children there as they are substantially discounted to attract good teachers to the outback of Wiltshire.
